Former X Factor winner Matt Cardle is set to release his new album The Fire which is out October 29th 2012.

The Fire will be Cardle’s second album and will look to follow up on the success of Letters which has already gone platinum.

In addition to lead vocals the 29 year old also co-wrote much of the album and played most of the instruments himself.

The first single off The Fire will be entitled It’s Only Love and also has a release date of October 29th.

The album also features a cover of the Roberta Flack classic The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face which Matt Cardle sang to great acclaim on the X Factor live shows.
