How Far Away is the Sun?

Question: How far away is the Sun from Earth?

Answer: Here on planet Earth we are about 93 million miles (150 million kilometers) from our nearest star, the sun. For our sun this is right in the middle of the “Goldilocks Zone” where it’s not too hot or cold but just right.

Among other things this allows for liquid water to exist on the planets surface which is very important to human life.
