When Does the New 2013 F1 Season Start?

Question: When does the first race of the new F1 season start?

Answer: The brand new 2013 F1 season goes green in Melbourne, Australia on Sunday the 17th of March, with the first practice sessions taking place on Friday the 15th.

Once again Melbourne’s Albert Park will host the Australian Grand Prix as it has since 1996. 2013 will be the third consecutive season the venue plays host to the F1 season opener.

Last years Aussie GP was won by Brit Jenson Button in his McLaren.

This year Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel will start the season looking to make it an incredible four consecutive F1 Driver World Championships.

With Lewis Hamilton now moving to Mercedes, Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso looks set to be Vettel’s biggest challenger.

The Spaniard who has arguably been the best driver in F1 over the last few years is certainly overdue his third drivers title and first with the Italian team.
