When does the new series 19 of BBC’s Top Gear start in the UK?
Clarkson, Hammond, May and The Stig are back on BBC2 and BBC HD with the new series of Top Gear on Sunday the 27th of January, 2013 at 8:00pm.
Despite virtually every country in the world now seeming to have their own version of Top Gear along with their own personal Stig, it is still the original UK version that proves the most popular worldwide.
This is thanks in large part to the natural on-screen humor and sometimes controversy generated when Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are together.

This will be series 19 of Top Gear in it’s new format* since starting in 2002, the first 18 series included a total of 146 episodes. Many British viewers will have probably seen most of these shows many times over thanks to the TV channel Dave which broadcasts repeats of the motoring show on what feels like an endless loop.
It will be interesting to see what the shows producers have come up with in terms of challenges for this years new series. After all those episodes there can’t be many car based shenanigans the team have yet to get up to.
*The original format, more serious, road test based version of Top Gear ran on the BBC from 1977 to 2001.
