When is Comic Relief, Red Nose Day in 2013?

In the UK, this years Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day charity fundraising event will be happening on Friday, March the 15th, 2013.

The main show ‘Comic Relief – Funny for Money’ will be broadcast from 7:00 pm on BBC1 and BBC1 HD.

Comic relief is a charity based in Britain which raises money primarily through it’s two fundraising campaigns: Red Nose Day and Sport Relief.

The charity which was founded in 1985 supports causes designed to help those living in poverty both in the UK and overseas.

Red Nose Day is held on alternate years and culminates with a Live fundraising show on BBC1 featuring comedy and live music.

For each Red Nose Day an official music single is released with all profits going to Comic Relief. The 2013 Comic relief single will be a cover of the Blondie hit “One Way or Another” recorded by boy band One Direction.

 

 

 

Last years event saw a record breaking £74.3 million raised before the end of the live BBC show, going on to reach a grand total of £108.4 million.
