Question: When is the London Marathon taking place in 2013?

Answer: This years London Marathon which is once again being sponsored by Virgin will take place on Sunday the 21st of April 2013.

The city of London will once again play host to the largest marathon in the world in terms of runners, with a massive 36,748 people finishing last years event.

The 2013 race will be the 33rd running of the London Marathon after first being run back in 1981.

The marathon is always popular among amateurs and professional runners alike with many people taking part to raise money for charity.

Kenyan Emmanuel Mutai currently holds the course record for men of 2:04:40 set in 2011, while Brit Paula Radcliffe set the women’s record of 2:15:25 back in 2003.
