Question: When is the 2013 Kentucky Derby being held?

Answer: This years Kentucky Derby will be taking place on Saturday, May 4, 2013 and will be broadcast on the NBC television network.

The TV coverage on the Saturday will start at 4:00 pm Eastern Time, finishing at 7:00 pm.

The Kentucky Derby week will begin on Wednesday, May 1 at 4:00 pm ET with the Derby Classics, also televised on NBCSN.

As usual, Americas premiere horse racing event will be coming from Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

This years 1 1/4 mile, Grade 1 race will be the Kentucky Derby’s 139th running.

One of the favorites going into this years big race will be the three time winner Calvin Borel, riding the horse Revolutionary.
