Answer: In the US ‘Into Darkness’ will be out on Friday, May 17, 2013 but in the UK the film will be showing in cinemas earlier on Tuesday the 9th of May.

The new Star Trek movie was originally set for release on the 17th both in the United States and in the UK but the British date was recently brought forward by eight days.

Into Darkness is the squeal to the 2009 film ‘Star Trek’ and will again be directed and produced by J.J Abrams.

The sci-fi action movies cast list includes Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, John Cho, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve, Zoe Saldana and Anton Yelchin.

The film is said to be aimed at existing Trekkies with the script including multiple references to the original television series.
