Question: Who originally sings the song Mean before Danielle Bradbery sang it on The Voice USA?

Answer: The song Mean was first written and sung by the American country/pop star Taylor Swift.

The single which was released in March, 2011 was taken from Swift’s 2010 studio album Speak Now.

Danielle Bradbery impressed the coaches on Season 4 of The Voice with her cover of Mean and has since recorded a full length studio version.

After her live audition which saw three of the four coaches turn around (what were you thinking Shakira?), the 16 year old, Texas native chose to to join team Blake.
