Who was the man behind the iconic high powered sports car, the AC Cobra?

The key man behind the AC Cobra was former American race car driver Carroll Shelby. The AC Cobra was also known as the Shelby Cobra.

Carroll Shelby imported the AC Cobra’s from England where they were built by AC Motors, into North America.

The US version was fitted with a Ford V8 engine in place of the Ford Zephyr unit used in the UK.
