Who won the Australian Open Tennis Grand Slam in 2013?

This years men’s Australian Open tournament saw Serbian, Novak Djokovic face Brit Andy Murray in the final with Djokovic eventually coming out on top.

The Serb won the match in four sets 6-7 7-6 6-3 6-2, playing for a total of 3 hours, 40 mins.

Murray came out strong, winning the first set but began to struggle as time went on due to blistering on his feet.

The win gave Novak Djokovic a record three consecutive titles at the Australian Open, if Murray had won it would have been his second Grand Slam victory in a row.

The Scot won his first ever Grand Slam in the US Open back in 2012, if he had beaten Djokovic in Australia he would have become the first ever tennis player to win a second Grand Slam straight after taking their first.
