Question: Who won this years main Grand National Race?

Answer: The 2013 John Smith’s Grand National horse race was won by the 66-1 outsider Auroras Encore ridden by Ryan Mania and trained by Sue Smith.

12-1 Cappa Bleu finished in second with 10-1 Teaforthree taking third.

As always the event was held at Aintree racecourse near Liverpool on what turned out to be a dry, sunny day with good soft conditions.

Going into the race, some of the favorites to win had been Seabass (outright favorite), On His Own, Cappa Bleu, Chicago Grey, Colbert Station and Teaforthree.

The maximum of all 40 horses took the start of the 4 1/2 mile race.
