Who won the Academy Award in 2012 for Best Actor?

The Oscar for Best Actor in 2012 was awarded to Jean Dujardin who played the character George Valentin in the silent film, ‘The Artist’

This was Dujardin’s first and to date, only Oscar.

Dujardin is a French actor, producer and director, born in Rueil-Malmaison,Paris in 1972.

The runners up for the 2012 Best Actor title were Brad Pitt in ‘Moneyball’, Gay Oldman in ‘Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy’, George Clooney in ‘The Descendants’ and Damian Bichir in ‘A Better Life’.
