Where in the UK is the YouTube cycling channel GCN based?

The team behind the Global Cycling Network YouTube videos are based in the city of Bath, which is located in the English county of Somerset.

Any GCN fans who live in the South West of England or even South East Wales, will have likely noticed some familiar routes and landmarks used, including the Wye Valley, Cheddar Gorge and Bristol.

Of course, as regular viewers will be aware, the crew now get to film videos from locations all over the world. Generally very warm and sunny countries with great scenery and cycling routes. Although many of their earlier stuff was shot in and around their local west country area, it’s their more recent growth, success and sponsors that now allow them to film pretty much wherever they want.

The original GCN presenter line-up of Dan Lloyd, Matt Stephens, Tom Last and Simon Richardson has now been bolstered by the addition of tech specialist Jon Cannings and former professional women’s cyclist Emma Pooley.

GCN forms part of the Play Sports Network company, which now also includes the Global Mountain Bike Network, Global Triathlon Network, GCN Tech, GMBN Tech and even the Electric Mountain Bike Network.
