How many members of the band U2 are actually Irish?

If you go by where each of the four members of U2 were born, then only half the band is truly Irish. Only two members of the rock band U2 were born in Ireland, lead singer Bono and drummer Larry Mullen Jr.

Lead Guitarist The Edge was born in London, England to Welsh parents and Bassist Adam Clayton was born to English parents in Oxfordshire, England.

Despite this, after over 30 years of success all four U2 members still live in and around Dublin to this day.
