Jessie J Tells BBC Voice Bosses to Reschedule Show Around Her Tour

Singer Jessie J has admitted she recently demanded that the bosses of the BBC UK talent show The Voice change the dates of the next series in order to better suit her schedule.

The British diva said the dates for the upcoming series clashed with her own live tour so rather than move any of her concerts or leave the show she insisted the BBC accommodate her instead.

Speaking in an interview on Channel 4 Jessie stated “I need to prioritize my tour and my fans.”

The Voice judge also admitted she wanted the shows producers to ditch the whole contestant back story segments like you get on the X Factor, saying “Isn’t it about the voice?”

Upon watching herself back on the first series of The Voice UK the 24 year old decided she also needed to make some changes herself. She felt she came across a bit irritating and even scary at times.

After bringing the sport of gurning to Saturday night prime time TV the ‘Domino’ singer has chosen to reassess her image.

It is believed Series two of The Voice UK will feature all the original four judges from the first series: Jessie J, Sir Tom Jones, Will.i.am and Danny “Danny from The Script” O’Donoghue.

Jessie J will be touring the UK in February and March of 2013 including two nights at London’s O2 Arena.
