Apart from Judging on Idol, Randy is also a singer, bass player and a Grammy award winning record producer.

The list of people Jackson has either performed with, produced or been a session player for reads like a who’s who of the music industry.

Full name Randall Darius Jackson, the Louisiana native has worked with many top artists including Aretha Franklin, Kenny G, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Paula Abdul, Journey, Bon Jovi and many more.

Since first airing in 2002, Randy Jackson is the only judge to have appeared on every series of American Idol.
