Where are the Oscar statuettes made?
The statuettes which are giving out to winners at the Academy Award ceremonies are manufactured in Chicago, Illinois by RS Owens & Company.
RS Owens who now employ over 175 workers were founded way back in 1938 by Owen Siegel. It normally takes them between 3 to 4 weeks to make 50 Oscar statuettes.
In addition to making the Oscar awards the company also produce other high quality trophies and gifts which can be purchased by the public.
