Where are the 2013 Oscars being held?

The location for the 85th Academy Awards, held on Sunday, February 24th, 2013 is the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, California.

The venue which used to be called the Kodak Theatre was originally built and opened in 2001, and can seat over 3,300 audience members.

Since being opened the theatre has played host to every Oscars ceremony with 2013 marking it’s 12th Academy Awards.

This years Oscars will have an estimated worldwide television audience of around 40 million viewers, the show will see awards given out for the best films of 2012.

‘Lincoln’ which stars Daniel Day-Lewis leads the way with 12 nominations closely followed by Ang Lee’s ‘Life of Pi’.
