Where is I’m a Celebrity Filmed in Australia?

Where is the UK version of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here filmed in Australia?

The ITV reality TV show is set and filmed on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The jungle where the celebrities camps are located are in fact part of the Springbrook National Park.

Gold Coast is a city on the east coast of Australia 80km south of the state capital Brisbane. Gold Coast is Australia’s sixth most populated city with around 600,000 residents.

Gold Coast is also a very popular tourist destination and is set to host the Commonwealth Games in 2018. One suburb of Gold Coast City famous throughout the world is Surfers Paradise.

The show is filmed and broadcast each winter in the UK and therefore while it’s summer down under.

On screen the show is hosted by Ant and Dec but behind the cameras I’m a Celeb actually requires over 700 production workers in total.

The show has been running since 2002 and is most famous for making less than A-list celebrities eat various undesirable items such as bugs and kangaroo testicles. These are known as bush tucker trials.
