At the end of the afternoon session Selby lead Robertson 5 frames to 3. During the evening session Mark came out strong, increasing his lead to 8-3 before Neil won three straight frames making it 8-6.

From there Mark Selby got the match back under control, winning the last two frames and taking the championship.

The Masters tournament was held at the Alexandra Palace, London, England from the 13th to the 20th of January, 2013 where 16 players competed for their share of the £500,000 prize pool.

Despite being one of the most prestigious tournaments on the snooker calendar, the Masters is actually a non-ranking event.
