Who won The Voice UK 2012?

The Voice UK Winner 2012

Question: Who won series one of The Voice in 2012?

Answer: In 2012 the first series of the TV singing contest ‘The Voice’ was won in the UK by female vocalist Leanne Mitchell.

After winning the show Mitchell quickly released her debut single ‘Run To You’ which turned out to be a huge flop for her.

In it’s first week where you’d expect an automatic number 1 for an X Factor winner, Leanne’s single failed to even make the top 40.

Despite the initial lack of success though, according to her Twitter account, Leanne is currently in the studio recording her first album.

On the show the then 28 year old was a member of Sir Tom Jones Team, Tom returns for series 2 of The Voice along with the rest of the original judging line up.
